Speaking Tuesday, Canadian Conservative Shadow Minister for Public Safety Raquel Dancho blasted the Liberal government for its alleged interference into the investigation of the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooting.
She said Conservatives believe RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki "acted against the public interest" when she was allegedly pressured to share information with the government about the weapons involved in the crime.
In addition, Dancho said that if the alleged political interference took place in the investigation of the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooting, asking for the resignation of RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki or Public Safety Minister Bill Blair is "not off the table."
Two of the people behind an accusation of political interference in the investigation of the April 2020 mass shooting in Nova Scotia appeared before the House of Commons committee earlier in the day.
Twenty-three people, including the gunman, were killed, and three others wounded in the mass shooting on April 18–19, 2020. It remains one of the deadliest mass shooting incidents in Canadian history.
