An unusually cold air mass is parked over Europe, with lower than normal temperatures – and even snow - in parts of the continent.

For instance, in Brussels, flowers were seen covered in snow on Tuesday morning after rare spring snowflakes dusted the city overnight.

It’s not unheard of for that city to get snow in April, but on average, only a few centimetres fall during the month each year. The cold and snow will last the next couple of days, with additional snow as the cold moves east across Europe.

Global’s Ross Hull reports.
