It was not a winter wonderland for people in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) on Thursday as the region was hit with messy weather, with snow hitting several communities.

Drivers were left battling slick roads coated with snow, and those opting to take public transit were left waiting longer as buses were late and shelters were packed. And students in some school boards still had to trek in for classes as many schools remained open, leaving students less than thrilled.

Brittany Rosen went out into the weather to see how people handled the weather.
