'Warm banks' open as UK cold snap sees temperatures plummet

The Met Office has issued several yellow weather warnings for snow and ice over the next few days, raising fears that millions will be unable to keep warm this winter.

Thousands of 'warm banks' are being set up by councils and charities across the country to offer heating, food and company to those in need.
