It's not unusual to deal with extreme cold, blizzards and snow during a Canadian winter, but conditions this past week and weekend have been severe.
Many parts of the country have remained under public weather alerts, and on Friday, some areas saw temperatures dip below -35 C. While some regions are now starting to see temperatures rise, there are still warnings across Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes for more extreme cold.
But even as people are bundling up to try and keep warm as temperatures remain in flux, people are still getting outside to enjoy the scenery and make the most of the snow and ice. Mike Drolet reports.
