The nursing shortage across Canada has reached a critical level with hospital and long-term care staff saying they are exhausted, underpaid and overworked.
The amount of overtime nurses have been working during the COVID-19 pandemic has skyrocketed by 137 per cent. In Ontario there are well over 16,000 vacancies in the province's hospitals.
Some experts want the federal government to take action. Jamie Mauracher reports.
