As nurses continue to play a pivotal role in Canada's fight against COVID-19, staff shortages have forced many nurses to work even longer, stressful hours.

Ross Lord looks at the efforts underway to entice more people to stay in the demanding profession.

As of May 14 at 1 p.m. ET, Canada has a reported total of 1,321,754 COVID-19 cases with 1,224,089 recoveries. The death toll stands at 24,900.
