Police in Brazil brought one of the two suspects arrested in the disappearance of British journalist Dom Phillips and his colleague, Indigenous expert Bruno Pereira, to the site in the Amazon where the pair are believed to have disappeared from.

Police continue to search for Phillips and Pereira in what they are now calling a homicide investigation.

The suspects in the case are fishermen Amarildo de Costa and his brother Oseney da Costa.

The pair have reportedly confessed to killing and dismembering the men, according to reports by CNN Brasil and Band News.

As the search for the two missing men has continued, experts who work for Brazil’s Indigenous Affairs Agency FUNAI have condemned what they say are “horrible” working conditions and have called on the government to provide security in the region.
