Asylum plan: Priti Patel says Rwanda can resettle refugees in a 'skilled way'

Priti Patel visits Rwanda to launch the UK's immigration plan to send asylum seekers there for processing.

An initial £120m is expected to be given to the Rwandan government under a trial scheme -- after the Home Secretary struck a deal on her visit to the capital, Kigali.

The new plan has received criticism from migration and human rights charities, saying the measures are "draconian and lacking in compassion".
