An Alberta doctor may need to think about buying a superhero costume after saving two men in the past 18 months through CPR, then operating on them days later.

In June of 2020, Dr. Corey Adams and his wife Jennifer, who is also a doctor, were hiking near Canmore, Alberta when someone called for help. A man had turned blue after collapsing and quick work administering CPR by Adams helped the man. Days later, he performed a quintuple heart bypass on the same man.

It happened again in August of this year when, while on an outing with their children, the couple spotted a man who collapsed while running. Adams again performed CPR. The man was born with a heart defect and days later, Adams was the one to perform a valve replacement.

As Jill Croteau reports, it's two chance encounters that led to two men receiving the help they needed from a couple who were just out for a walk.
