While some much-needed rain is helping firefighters combat wildfires in some parts of Alberta, scorching temperatures are expected in the coming days.

The entire province is under a state of emergency due to the out-of-control flames, which have left thousands of people out of their homes as a provincial election inches closer.

And as Heather Yourex-West explains, Yellowhead County Mayor Wade Williams wants the vote postponed.
