Desperate scenes are playing out at Kabul's airport, the only way out for Afghans desperate to escape the Taliban.

The U.S. and NATO forces now control the airport, but they can't guarantee safe access. The Taliban has set up checkpoints and roadblocks along routes to the airports.

Right now, around 2,000 Afghans are leaving the country each day, which is far below the U.S. goal, but still an improvement. Jackson Proskow has more on the fragile exit strategy.
