Afghanistan crisis: Frustration simmers over Canada's promises of helping Afghan refugees

Amid the crisis ongoing in Afghanistan, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's made promises of helping re-settle thousands of at-risk people still inside the country. Among them remain the many interpreters and contractors who worked to support Canadian Forces during the NATO mission in the country.

Trudeau says 500 have already arrived in Canada, while Canadian officials tell Global News it is ready to resume evacuation flights once the U.S. is given clearance. But the plan to do so remains volatile the Taliban seizes the country in chaos.
