Afghan filmmaker Diana Saqeb Jamal was visiting family in Canada when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, preventing her from returning home.

Now, she's forced to watch from afar as the Taliban takes control of her beloved country and fears the progress that's been made in the last 20 years will be erased.

She built a career in Kabul, helping to build the country up. After the past few weeks, she says an entire generation is burying their hopes and dreams. And she has a message for President Joe Biden — Don’t you dare blame the Afghan people for this.
