A-level results: Have England's grades fallen faster than other parts of UK?

The proportion of top A-level grades is down from last year but still remains above pre-pandemic levels. It comes as England returns to the 2019 marking methodology.

Pupils in England were the most affected, with the share of exams graded A or above down by 9% compared to 2022. Students in Wales saw a 7% drop in top grades, while Northern Ireland saw a decrease of 6%.

Sky's Becky Cotterill has dug deeper into the data released by the Joint Council for Qualification on A-level results, by nations, countries and subjects.
