Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis, said on Wednesday that if the parts recently found in Romania are discovered to have belonged to a Russian drone, it would be a "serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Romania and the NATO allies." The discovery came after Ukraine reported Russian drones allegedly violating their territorial sovereignty.
Romania's Defense Minister, Angel Tilvar, told Antenna 3 CNN "I confirm that pieces which might be elements of a drone were found."
Tilvar added that the area had not been evacuated since there was no indication that the parts posed any threat. Additionally, the fragments would be analyzed to verify their origin.
