Volkswagen getting up to $13B from feds for EV battery plant

The federal government will give Volkswagen up to $13 billion in subsidies over the next decade in a deal to ensure the automaker builds its electric-vehicle battery plant in southern Ontario. Flavio Volpe, president of the automotive manufacturers association, says this investment means more career-building jobs that will financially help Canadians.
