Although President-elect Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau may have more in common politically, there are differences when it comes to policy.
Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Francois-Philippe Champagne has said Canada will work to foster cooperation focused on the COVID-19 response, the economy and climate change.
But, Biden’s election is also expected to pose a further challenge to Canada’s oil and gas sector, as the president-elect has indicated he plans to cancel approval of the Keystone XL pipeline.
