UN extends Syria aid deliveries from Turkey by six months

The UN Security Council has passed a resolution to extend cross-border aid deliveries into Syria's last rebel-held region - but only for six months.
Permission for shipments from Turkey into northwestern Syria expired on Monday, after Russia vetoed an attempt to renew the mandate for a year.
Millions of people rely on the essential supplies that pass through the Bab al-Hawa crossing.
