The devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria have claimed the lives of over 19,700 people, with the number of casualties expected to rise.

Despite the massive efforts of rescue workers, the 72-hour "golden" period, where survivors may still be found alive, is rapidly drawing to a close.

Sky's Mark Austin travelled to the city of Nurdagi in southern Turkey to witness the destruction first-hand.
