A humanitarian disaster was already underway in Syria with millions living on aid after 12 years of war before the quake, says Hombeline Duliére of CAFOD.

Partners on the ground were facing extra challenges, she said, due to basic infrastructure being damaged from the conflict, and movements there being restricted.
