Trudeau’s cabinet shuffle reignites spring election speculation

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a new cabinet shuffle Tuesday morning and sparked more spring election speculation.

With new polls showing support for Liberals up one point since last month while Conservatives’ support dropping three points, the cabinet shuffle added more to the election speculation.

The shuffle was sparked after long-time MP Navdeep Bains decided he would not run for re-election, prompting Trudeau to add a new face to the cabinet and move other existing members to fill the space left by Bains.
