Tory leadership candidate Rishi Sunak says "as Prime Minister I'd give direct financial assistance to those on lowest incomes and pensioners".

Meanwhile the Treasury Select Committee says it is "concerned" about reports that Liz Truss might hold a budget without an official forecast.

The OBR says it is ready to provide a forecast, but Ms Truss plans to not use it.
