Russia: Gunmen open fire on synagogue and church in Dagestan region

Three days of mourning are taking place in Russia's southern region of Dagestan following the deaths of 19 people, thought to have been killed by Islamist militants.

The gunmen opened fire on two Orthodox churches, a synagogue and a police post
in two cities on 23 June.

Most of the people who died in this attack were police officers.
