Julia and Kevin Garratt, a Canadian couple who spent nearly 8 months in Chinese prison in 2014, are painting a clearer picture of the situation now facing two of Beijing's most famous Canadian hostages, Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.

The two Michaels have been detained in China for nearly two-and-a-half years, accused by China of spying.
