Questions about AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine don’t apply to Canada’s supply

The AstraZeneca doses being used in Europe are from a different production facility than the doses being shipped to Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday tried to re-assure Canadians about getting the COVID-19 vaccine here.

Trudeau said Health Canada regulators are constantly analyzing all the available information about vaccines and have guaranteed those approved in Canada are safe for use.

“Health Canada and our experts and scientists have spent an awful lot of time making sure every vaccine approved in Canada is both safe and effective,” he said at a news conference in Montreal.

But as Mike Armstrong reports, some lingering doubt is setting in.
