Canada’s vaccine rollout depends heavily on what happens outside our borders.
With no domestic manufacturing capability of our own, we must rely on supply chains staying intact as manufacturers work to meet an unprecedented global demand.
Canada’s vaccination rate remains below many Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries and while many provinces are pushing to get all adults at least one dose by the summer. There’s just no way to guarantee Canada will have the necessary supply.
