Protesters are back on the streets across Myanmar, after 38 people were killed in the most violent day of the military government's crackdown.
A funeral has been held for one of the demonstrators who died on Wednesday.
Ma Kyal Sin was killed during confrontations with security forces.
Witnesses reported seeing soldiers firing into crowds with little warning.
Meanwhile, a former United Nations official told Al Jazeera that the tactics adopted by Myanmar's security forces are "terrorist-like".
