As Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, began a three-day tour on Tuesday that will bring the couple to several Canadian cities, the prince said the royal couple looked forward to "listening” to Indigenous peoples share their stories.
The royal couple’s Canadian tour, which includes a visit to the Northwest Territories, will focus on Indigenous reconciliation and climate change.
In a speech praising Canada as a global leader, Prince Charles said he has spoken with Governor General Mary Simon about the “vital process” of reconciliation.
The royals will visit the fishing community of Quidi Vidi before travelling to Ottawa and to the Northwest Territories.
