After combing through nearly one million e-mails, outgoing, incoming and deleted, the Government of Alberta says there wasn't any contact between Premier Danielle Smith's officer and the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service.
The probe came after reports stemming from Smith's comments earlier this month.
According to a CBC report, citing unnamed sources, a staffer in Smith's office sent a series of e-mails last fall questioning prosecutor's assessment of cases stemming from the Coutts border blockade.
In a statement Monday, Smith said she is confident in the integrity and professionalism of her staff, and that she is grateful for the non-partisan review.
Adam MacVicar reports.
