Senior A&E doctor Mark Harmon has described the "broken" system that consultants are trying to hold together on the second day of the junior doctors' strike.

Also, cancer patient Phil Sutcliffe has said he supports striking junior doctors despite his delayed check-up and that the situation could be settled if the government "had the will".

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has responded to walk-outs saying he is "happy to talk about pay settlements that are reasonable, fair and affordable for the taxpayer".
