New Brunswick announced on Wednesday that beginning in October, it will offer a booster dose of a mRNA vaccine to seniors living in long-term care homes or other communal settings who have already received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The plan is to offer the booster shot alongside the annual flu vaccine.

The province brought in a state of emergency and introduced a proof of vaccination policy and other restrictions last week, amid rising COVID-19 case numbers. As Tim Roszell reports, most businesses are complying with the new health measures.
