The growing spread of Omicron is renewing fears about COVID-19 again ravaging Canada's long-term care homes. During the pandemic's first wave, some seniors were left alone in their rooms due to outbreaks with devastating outcomes.
Advocates say the isolation is not only dangerous for physical health but to residents' mental health as well.
