NATO Secretary General Yens Stoltenberg has made his first visit to Ukraine since the Russian invasion. He told Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that he sees Ukraine’s rightful place as inside the military alliance.
It comes as Ukraine prepares for its expected spring offensive.
The Kremlin responded, saying preventing Ukrainian membership of NATO was one of the main aims of its attack.
Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reports from Kyiv, Ukraine.
