Three years after launching a military coup, Myanmar’s military is facing stiffer resistance than ever before.
An alliance of ethnic armies launched an offensive against the military in Shan state in late October of last year,
that sparked a wave of resistance around the country.
Since then the military have been pushed back from strategic bases and border crossings.

Al Jazeera's Tony Cheng reports from the Thai- Myanmar border.
