In an emotional speech, Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison said that enduring change is needed in society regarding the treatment of black people.

He said that the outcome, in which a jury unanimously found Derek Chauvin guilty of the murder of George Floyd, was not justice, but accountability.

He added, 'that's not one case - that is a social transformation, this verdict reminds us we must make endemic, systemic societal change.'
