Migrant crossings: 'This is deeply damaging chaos', Labour says

Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has challenged the controversial new legislation aimed at stopping migrants travelling to the UK in small boats.

Responding to Suella Braverman's statement, Ms Cooper pressed that the idea of a 28-day detention is flawed, asking what will happen when people leave, adding: "Will she make people destitute so they just wonder the streets in total chaos?"
