Labour says the government's plan to ban people arriving in the UK on small boats from claiming asylum fails to deal with the problem of criminal gangs exploiting migrants.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is set to publish long-promised legislation on Channel crossings that she has admitted "pushes the boundaries of international law".
