Thousands of people descended on Washington, D.C. on Friday to demand an end to legal abortion.

The March for Life is the largest annual gathering in the U.S. by opponents of legal abortion. It comes on the eve of a momentous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, as it debates a Mississippi law that would restrict abortion after fifteen weeks.

There is speculation that in delivering its opinion the court could also overturn the landmark 1973 decision Roe v. Wade. The court is expected deliver its opinion by June.
