Canadian veterans say Ottawa is lagging on its promise to help tens of thousands of people trying to escape Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. During the last federal election campaign, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to bring 40,000 Afghan refugees to Canada.

But many months after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, just about 11,000 refugees have arrived in Canada.

Jeff Semple looks at what vets are pushing Ottawa to do and how the crisis is weighing heavily on their mental health.
