US President Joe Biden has been whispering sweet nothings into the ears of American workers again.
During a speech in Wisconsin, Biden went from using his indoor voice to his secret-telling voice, whispering, ‘Hey, guys. I think it's time to give ordinary people a tax break. The wealthy are doing fine.’
Whether it makes you feel physically sick, or warm and tingly inside, Biden’s new whispering tactic seems to do the job of getting people’s attention.
The audience at the public transit center in La Crosse, for one, lapped it up. His detractors online, not so much.
He made the comment during a speech on his ‘blue-collar blueprint to rebuild America’ project, in which he was promoting a $973 billion bipartisan package deal.
Biden said the funds would be invested in modernizing infrastructure and creating millions of well-paid jobs.
He explained that the program would be paid for by corporate tax rate hikes and by stopping companies from taking their profits offshore.
