Israel's military says it has surrounded Gaza City after approaching from multiple directions.
It says at least 25 soldiers have been killed in battles with Palestinian fighters since Tuesday.

And Israeli Army and Navy have been targeting vehicles on the Al Rashid coastal highway.
This means Israel controls access to and movement along the main road connecting northern and southern Gaza.
