Pope Francis is set to visit the city of Iqaluit, Nunavut as the last stop on his Canadian tour to seek reconciliation with Indigenous communities over the Church's role in residential schools and generations of atrocities.

But after the revelation of unmarked graves at those institutions, Canada’s most northern city has also unanimously passed a bylaw requiring churches to pay taxes.

Global’s Jeff Semple has reaction to the decision and how the community is rethinking the role of church ahead of the Pope's visit.
