COVID-19 is becoming a disease of the unvaccinated, yet many Canadians remain unwilling to get their shots.

Roughly 18 per cent of eligible Canadians still haven’t gotten the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to statistics from the COVID-19 Tracker Canada website. This number has hardly budged over the last few weeks.

Some vaccine-hesitant people are waiting until there's more research on the long-term effects of COVID-19 shots. Others were worried over the misinformation going around on social media.

Jamie Mauracher looks into why facts about the vaccine and the impending fourth wave haven't been enough to change some minds.
