Electric vehicles are gaining traction in Canada but not fast enough to meet the federal government’s own targets.

It aims to have ten per cent of all light-duty vehicles sales be electric by 2025, and 100 per cent by 2040.

Through access to information requests, Global’s chief political correspondent David Akin has obtained internal government polling that sheds some light on what’s holding back Canadians from buying more electric vehicles.
