More than 200,000 people living in parts of Halifax and the surrounding suburbs are being warned about what's coming out of their faucets.

Officials say the water advisory, which was first issued on Canada Day evening, is expected to remain in place until at least July 3.

Heidi Petracek explains why they're being told to boil their water and how people are getting by during the temporary restrictions.
