In tonight's top story: Police are investigating what they call a hate-motivated attack at a mosque in Markham, Ont., after a South Asian man allegedly threatened to burn down the building, uttered Islamophobic slurs, and tried to run down worshippers with his vehicle. Eric Sorensen reports on the investigation, the fears in the Muslim community, and the calls for the Canadian government to beef up its fight against Islamophobia.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is being investigated by the province's ethics commissioner. We look at what has prompted the review and her reaction.
