The remaining cooling towers of a former power station in northern England were demolished on Sunday in a controlled implosion, with video showing the four towers crashing down in a cloud of smoke at the Eggborough power station in Yorkshire.
It took more than nine months of planning to demolish the 300-foot high structures, according to the DSM Demolition group.
The remaining towers' removal from the skyline followed the demolition of four others in August. The towers have been considered a landmark in the Yorkshire area for 50 years.
