The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is calling for aggressive measures in Alberta and Saskatchewan to stop the surge of COVID-19. In Alberta, the capacity of intensive care units has now more than doubled, but every day more patients arrive with COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the CMA says the vaccine won’t be enough to help Saskatchewan out of its pandemic crisis. Heather Yourex-West reports on the recommendations, the reaction from premiers, and how the crisis is affecting different patients.
