At least 30 people have been killed on the border between Colombia and Venezuela since the beginning of the year. The Colombian government says clashes between the country’s remaining rebel group - the National Liberation Army (ELN) - and a group of former FARC rebels are to blame.
The violence has reached new levels since a longstanding truce between the armed groups broke down.
